Deleting External Data
Note: If the external data is being used by the system, it cannot be deleted.
An external data may be removed if it is not being used by the system. To delete an external data from the Import/Export Utility, please refer to the steps that follow.
- From the ribbon, click the External Data
button.
- The External Data form appears.
- Select an external data from the selections found to the right.
- The external data that is selected populates the form.
- To remove this external data from the utility, select the Delete
button.
- A message appears asking you if you want to delete this external data.
- Yes: select Yes if you want to continue deleting this external data. If the external data is not being used by a specification, the message closes and you are returned to the External Data form. The form has cleared. If this external data is being used by a specification, a message appears to notify you of this and it cannot be deleted.
- No: select No if you do not want to continue deleting this external data. The message closes and you are returned to the External Data form. The external data remains in the form.
- Click the Exit
button to close the External Data form.
